Estimating Paint for a 12x14 Room: Step-by-Step Wall & Ceiling Calculation

  • Door & Window Casing Area: Approximately 25 sq ft

Total Trim Area for 2 Coats = (15.18 + 25) × 2 = 80.36 sq ft

Since trim paint yields approximately 400 sq ft per gallon:

Trim Gallons = 80.36 ÷ 400 = 0.20 Gallons
